All-Ireland Hairdressing College Championships 2026

The Irish Hairdressing Council recently attended the All-Ireland Hairdressing College Championships 2026, which took place in Westport and were hosted by Mayo College of Further Education, and were truly blown away by the talent on display. We were also delighted to have sponsored a trophy at this fantastic event.
This landmark championship brought together colleges, organisations, salons and educators from across Ireland to celebrate the next generation of hairdressing talent.
The Council was represented by Maeve O’Healy-Harte, who sat on the judging panel alongside industry leaders from across the country.
The championships also honoured the incredible Martha Galvin (Allure, Mayo), with the Martha Galvin Award presented to the All-Ireland Hairdressing Student of the Year — a fitting tribute to an inspiring Irish hairdresser.
