IHC Connects: Patch Test with Purpose with Colour Me Safe
The Irish Hairdressing Council is delighted to announce our next IHC Connects session, taking place on Monday 12th October at 8pm on Zoom.
We’re welcoming Lisa Steele-Willetts of Colour Me Safe to deliver a free online workshop, Patch Test with Purpose: Protect with Proof, designed to support modern clients in the modern salon.

Why this session, and why now
Clients today are more informed, more aware of their own sensitivities and more interested in how their care is managed. For the industry, that means patch testing needs to be consistent, well communicated and properly recorded. The Council is committed to supporting members with practical education on exactly these kinds of topics, and this session is a great example.
What the session will cover
This is an educational and practical session, and Lisa will explore:
Why allergy-alert testing practices need to evolve
The changing sensitivity profile of today’s clients
Consistency in preparation, application and timing
How to help clients understand the process and take part in it
The importance of photographic evidence and reliable digital records
How better processes support professional responsibility and risk management
Who should attend
IHC Connects is open to everyone. Whether you’re a stylist, salon owner, freelancer, educator or part of a college team, you’ll come away with ideas you can put into practice straight away.
